Monitoring and Evaluation
VEGA embraces USAID’s approach and commitment to evaluation and has promoted an active dialogue with our members through our ongoing project evaluation work, development through our M&E Working Group, and by sharing knowledge and information with USAID and other stakeholders.
Our resource partners follow standard practices in designing, conducting, and reporting evaluation results.
We use the most effective and appropriate evaluation methodologies taking into consideration resources required, timing, and approach that will reap the highest quality of data and information.
Our M&E process is transparent and engages Missions and stakeholders in a collaborative manner throughout each stage of the evaluation. During the evaluation process, our resource partners seek to build local capacity by engaging local partners so they have the ability to independently undertake future evaluations, analyze the results of the evaluations, and use the evaluation results to improve performance.
Evaluations focus on relevant project and performance issues so USAID and project stakeholders can learn and make better informed decisions and so projects are held accountable for their performance.
