Engineers Without Borders will partner with the Kosovo Agricultural Growth and Rural Opportunities (AGRO) Activity administered by USAID through Tetra Tech to provide volunteer services to its Strategic Partners active in targeted agricultural value chains. Professional engineer volunteers will be leveraged by the existing network already established in the Kosovo Agricultural Community. The Kosovo AGRO program currently works with Strategic Partners to improve targeted Value Chains including apples, pears, grapes, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, blueberries, peppers, tomatoes, pickles, cucumbers, lettuce, asparagus, medicinal & aromatic plants and dairy. The intended outcome of the grant is to improve the efficiency and profitability of the agricultural community in Kosovo. Volunteers will work to solve engineering challenges identified by the AGRO Activity’s Strategic Partners.
