The NCBA CLUSA Farmer-to-Farmer Program will provide eight volunteers who will work with producer organization in the Vatovavy-Fitovinany and Sava Regions of Madagascar. These volunteers will assist 300 smallholder vanilla farmers to organize themselves into cooperatives that will provide member services under the program sub-element: Agribusiness and Producer Organizations. At the end of the project, small and medium-scale vanilla farmers will sustainably increase their annual income through producer organization member services to resolve priority issues as determined by the farmers including preventing crop theft, increasing access to finance, value-addition, and market linkages with both national and international buyers.
